MKM Cedar Creations 

At MKM Cedar Creations we take pride in the production and assembly of our quality landscaping products.  We use 100% dried and cured cedar logs in our production of our 3-tier decorative nautical pilings.  We even pay close attention to the little things, such as rounding the tops of our nautical pilings, and securing them together tightly.

  Our seagulls are made with the same commitment to quality and excellent work.  Once our seagull’s complete production, they are hand sanded, prepared for the hand painting process.  They are given a base paint coat, and then another base coat is also added.  The process is completed with four colors of our exclusive paint mix.  A brush applies all painting. 

3-tier piling

This beautiful handcrafted natural decorative triple tier piling is made from 100% cedar wood.  It consists of 3 pilings, each varying in size from 4 ½ “ to 6” in diameter.  All the pilings are secured together and then secured with a ¾” manila rope that is wrapped around the piling three times on the top and three times on the bottom.  It is then secured to the pilings.  Our 3-tier nautical pilings also come with “netting” to drape over the piling for a true authentic nautical look.  To preserve the original appearance you can spray the piling with an acrylic spray or use a polyurethane product. The piling comes in a natural finish and will age to a gray color with time.  Or if you prefer you can have a “pre-aged” nautical for your customer as well.  The overall height of the nautical piling is approximately 38”, with a circumference of approximately 35” and a weight of approximately 35 lbs.  When shipped with packing the weight is approximately 37-38 lbs.  This 3-tier nautical piling will look great in just about any indoor or outdoor environment.   

We have had numerous requests from our valued retailers and customers for “PRE-WEATHERED” 3-tier nautical pilings.  Many customers would like to have the pre-weathered 3-tier nautical piling look immediately,

Without waiting fro the cedar to naturally age.  With that in mind, we have set a set aside a number of these nautical pilings for you customers.  When placing an order with us, please let us know if you would prefer these for your customer.  Please note: The 3-tier decorative nautical pilings are “Weathered”, just as if they had been sitting out on a seaside dock for sometime.

Our hand painted seagull is LIFE SIZE, with exquisite detailing.  Our seagull stands approximately 18” tall from the tip of the wing to the floor (as shown) and has a wingspan of approximately 24”.  We use a special process when we make our seagulls to give them the look and feel of hand carved wood.  Once manufactured, our seagulls are then HANDPAINTED with a 25-35 year exterior paint that is specially formulated for our company to give a lifelike appearance, The eyes of our seagulls are made from glass (not cheap plastic) and give a lifelike appearance.  We use two steel legs to make sure our birds stay sitting where you want.

Our  “Baby” sitting seagull is 10” long from tip to tail, 5 ¼” tall and 3 ½” wide. Our seagull is flat on the bottom, so he/she can be placed on a desk or a shelf if desired.  Also included is a threaded steel rod that screws into the base, so that the seagull can be mounted onto the 3-tier nautical piling.  Each “Baby Seagull” is of coarse HAND-PAINTED just like the big bird in four special paint colors, using exterior 25-35 year paint.  Our seagulls eyes are also just like the big seagull, with custom GLASS eyes to give a realistic appearance for you and your customer.

NAUTICAL PILING LAMP 

This is a beautiful hand crafted decorative triple tier piling that is made from cedar wood.  It consists of 3 pilings, each varying in size from 3” to 4” diameter.  Each piling is securely attached to the next and lashed with a 3/8” twisted manila rope to add that extra rustic nautical touch.   This piling comes in a natural finish with lamp attached.  It is wired with a three-way switch and has a cream-colored cloth lampshade.  The overall height is approximately 21”, the circumference is approximately 23” and weighs approximately 5 lbs.   Use this piling lamp anywhere around your home for the perfect nautical touch.
